In the beginning of December, 2004 JSC "Sumy Frunze NPO" was awarded international bid floated by JSC "Surgutneftegas", Russia for five Gas Turbine driven Power Plants supply.
Based on project conditions, the Bidder shall supply and commission five Gas Turbine driven Power Plants with power 24 and 36 MW (four Plants with two Turbines and total power 24 MW and one Plant with three Turbines and total power 36 MW). The Project is expected to be in full operation in year 2006. JSC "Sumy Frunze NPO" experience in such Gas Turbine driven Power Plants design and manufacturing was one of the main reason of Project award. Several Gas Turbine driven Power Plants have been successfully operating in Sumy for four years and generating heat and electric power for Company's needs. |
Other bidders in this project were such well known companies as "Solar" (the USA), "Siemens" (Germany), "Kawasaki" (Japan), NPKG "Zorya-mashproekt" (Ukraine), "Nouvo Pignone" and "GE Energy - Oil and Gas" (Italy), 'Iskra-Energetika" Ltd. and JSC "Saturn NPO" (Russia).
